Stewardship Sunday

November 12

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”  -- Proverbs 16:3

As we dream together about what God will do in and through First Presbyterian Church of Athens in years to come, the elders of the church need your help. When you submit an estimate of your annual giving to the FPC General Fund, you practice the spiritual discipline of committed generosity, and church leaders are better able to plan for the fulfillment of our church’s mission.

Please fill out this form to make your estimate of annual giving to the General Fund, as, in response to God’s grace, we create community where people seek the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, rejoice in worship, and go forth sharing the love of Christ with Athens and the world!

Ways to Serve

Please take a moment to fill out the Ways to Serve form. This will give the church staff and session an updated list on how your time and talents can be shared with the congregation, Athens, and the world. If you prefer to fill out a paper form, you can find a copy in the Atrium.

Thanksgiving Food Bag Sunday

November 12

Can you provide a bag of food that can be used by an Athens family of four to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner? Please bring the items on the list attached in a reusable bag to church on November 12 or drop them off at the church during normal business hours by Friday, November 10. Alternatively, you can send a check for $50 to the church or donate at FirstPresAthens.org/giving (please select General Fund and add “Thanksgiving bags” in the memo box).
