CAMC Foundation Run for Your Life

Brookville Lake Dam

The Canoefest festival events and fireworks will be held at the Brookville Town Park.

Canoefest starts at the Brookville Lake Tailwaters, beneath the Brookville Lake Dam. Select between the Championship Race (8.4 Miles), the Biathlon Canoe and Run Race (total of 15.6 Miles), or the Recreational Race (2 Miles). Each race entails beautiful scenery along the entire length of the river course!

Mr. T Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk

Gassaway, WV

Starts at 8:00AM

The Mr. T Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019 upon the passing of Mr. Charlie Toumazous, Science and Math teacher at BCHS. Scholarship recipients exhibit good attendance, work ethic, a strong academic record, and have the desire to further their education at either a 4-year college or vocational/trade school.

Funds generated through this race are used to replenish the scholarship fund.

Chamber of Commerce Wellness 5K Run

June 26

South Charleston, WV

Starts at 9:00AM

The 7th Annual South Charleston Chamber of Commerce Wellness 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, June 26, 2021. The 5K will start and end in Oakes Field in South Charleston. This is a flat course throughout the downtown area of South Charleston. This is a chip-timed race!

Registration will take place at Oakes Field Starting at 8:00am. 5K Run begins at 9:00am and the 5K Walk begins shortly thereafter.

Firecracker 5K GLOW Run

Help support Childhood Language Center by participating in 2021's Childhood Language Center's Firecracker 5K GLOW Run/Walk!

Start your Independence Day celebrations early with this fun NIGHT race and support a great local cause! RUN, WALK, RIDE a bike...bring your entire family (even you dogs!) and participate in our 5K! All proceeds from this race benefit children at the Laurance Jones, III Childhood Language Center - a free speech therapy clinic for children.

Run the entire border of Kentucky (1334.65 Miles) throughout the year of 2021! Earn swag and stay motivated!

All participants will receive the following for completing the challenge:

WVStrong Summer Running and Walking Challenge

June 1 - Sept 9

We have made these challenges so that anyone can complete them. The challenge starts June 1 and ends September 9.

Route #1 - 222 Miles which will be 2.22 Miles/Day

Route #2 - 435 Miles which will be 4.35 Miles/Day

All registered participants will earn a commemorative light-weight shirt hoodie. Those that complete the challenge will earn an awesome challenge medal(s)!
