Arts experiences allow us to be our full, expressive selves, and to manifest our own voice and ideas out into the world. The arts greatly expand the meaning of success. Especially in a school setting, experiencing confidence, belonging, and feeling successful can dictate how a child shows up during the rest of their school day.

The school year is coming to a close and I'm thrilled to share that Lane Arts Council's amazing Teaching Artists will have provided 4,600+ hours of arts programming to over 13,400 K-12 students this year! That's significantly more hands-on programming than even one year prior, which speaks volumes to the increased need in our public schools.

While we're ending a robust year of school programs, we're also moving into a vibrant and arts-filled summer! The arts bring us together for joyful, educational, and connective experiences that celebrate our humanness. Read on for more, and check out community calendars from Travel Lane County and Eugene Weekly for other upcoming cultural events.

With love for the arts,
