Volume 14 | NOVEMBER 2020
Save the Date: #CallACaregiver
Many caregivers feel alone and isolated. While family members and friends often ask them how their care recipient is doing, they don’t always think to ask how the caregiver is doing. Caregivers have told us that this simple act of kindness can completely change their day.

That’s why OCO has created our Kindness Campaign for Kindness Day, November 13th. If you know a caregiver, we encourage you to reach out to them, ask them how they’re doing, how their day was, or just let them know you’re thinking of them.
SCALE Program continues – it’s not too late to join!
Your well-being matters

The SCALE Program (Supporting Caregiver Awareness, Learning and Empowerment) aims to empower you with practical information and skills to enhance self-awareness with a focus on your own needs and well-being.

We understand that caregivers may not always have the time to join live webinars. That’s why the program was designed with different components that are flexible. Select just one topic that you are interested in each week or take the entire program.

If you’re facing challenges in your role as a caregiver and need some help, the SCALE Program is designed to focus on a series of subjects that are applicable to new or experienced caregivers positioning you and your well-being at the centre of the sessions.

The program consists of a series of eight weekly webinars that can be taken live in sequence, or watched as a recording, and also includes the option of online group coaching for added support, as well as one-on-one, individualized telephone counselling.
