Conflict Resolution & Separation Agreements
Greetings!

In honor of Pride Month, I want to give a shout out to several organizations doing great work.

  • Callen Lorde provides health care, education and advocacy for folks in the LGBTQ+ communities.

  • Day One provides critical services and education for NYC youth around issues of dating abuse and violence. They're a resource for all youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression.

  • Most people who think of the LGBT Bar Association (Le-Gal), think of it as a professional association and resource for attorneys. But Le-Gal also hosts free legal clinics in the community where folks can talk to a lawyer to get advice and referrals.

  • Homeless and HIV+ in New York City? There's hope with CitiLeaf. They provide supportive housing in a respectful and kind community. With polished buildings in Flatiron and Chelsea, they keep expanding to try to address the severe need.

  • Wes Enos started The Generations Project to "preserve and share LGBTQ history through cross generational story-telling." He coordinates film screenings, story-telling events, and workshops where different generations come together to create something new. They have a show coming up on Thursday, June 27th. You can register here.
Co-Founder Agreements?! Brilliant.

People Start Businesses Together Because They Share a Vision.
But That's Not Always Enough to Maintain a Sound Working Relationship.

Through the mediation process, we help co-founders develop a separation agreement that respects the work and intangibles each has contributed. We also help startups develop "pre-nups" to make expectations and responsibilities clear from the beginning.
Have a Practice, but Still Need to Get That Website Up?
Sign Up for My August Workshop

I meet a lot of folks who own their legal or mediation practice, but don't have a website, a good bio, or even blog to share their thoughts and opinions . Clients usually check out folks online-to get a feel for professionalism and character-before hiring them. Websites are essential for a business.

Before I connected with the right designer, I did my first two websites myself. I'm no tech genius, but with time, cursing, and many margaritas, I figured it out. I meet people who say they couldn't possibly do it themselves. "No, no, I can't do that! I'm not tech savvy." or "Yeesh, Good for you, but I'm just not great at putting my vision into words."

You can create a website on your own, to get your practice on the map. We can work on it together.

Join me on Saturday August 3rd for a full day workshop. You'll leave with:
  1. a basic one-page website;
  2. text/copy for the website;
  3. a good bio;
  4. a plan to raise your online profile; and
  5. an outline for your first blog post.

Because of the nature of this workshop, space is very limited. Click here to register.
