Hello Families!
And we are off to the races!
Children's Formation began with 44 children grades K-5th last Sunday and 13 teachers there forming and being formed themselves!
We played, learned names, prayed and created lists of how we want to live in community with one another.
Here are a few glimpses of things that happen in formation classes:
Kindergarten/1st grade has some playtime and then they gather and build "a fire" to gather round and enter their sacred story time. They will also learn the Lord's Prayer this year.
2nd/3rd grade began learning Psalm 23 together and will continue to add a line to memory each week. They learned more about each other with a rousing game of "Would You Rather".
Club 45 will be leading us all in our Faith In Action days where we will learn more about our Core Ministries and do service projects every month. They know everyone's names from the name game and their favorite soft drink, ice cream, school subject, and hobby!
It is so important to get your kids to formation as much as possible. We all have crazy schedules and times we will be away, but consistency is what creates relationships. And we miss your kids when they are not here.
One thing that I know for sure is that when your kids have "church friends", they will want to come to church. We will be planning some grade level get-togethers in the next few months to help folks know each other better outside of Formation time.
The first one is this Sunday after the 11:15 service for all Nursery and Newly Baptized families. Take a look at the announcement below and join us!
Lastly, please make sure that you have registered on Realm so that we have your information.

Peace to you,
