The Class Sale is on now! The class calendar has been updated to include classes in April and May - and there are some new ones as well as many of our most popular classes. The sale goes through Wednesday, February 12th and classes are 50% off when using the special code AM20 when registering. The discount applies to all of our regular classes on the schedule. The sale does not apply to kids classes, special events or visiting instructor classes. With the sale, think of bringing a family member or friend (as a gift for you both) and introduce them to the fun of Make It Sweet classes!

We welcome kids 8 to 12 years old in our regular classes as long as they are accompanied by a participating adult and teens are welcome to take classes independently. Because of limited space, we only allow paid participants in the classroom during class. We do list some classes as specifically BYOB and while we don't limit the age of attendees, because of more open drinking (and merriment), those classes are more suitable for adults only. Adults age 21 and up are welcome to bring adult beverages to enjoy during any class.

There are some new classes to register for as well as our growing list of regular classes. So many options!

We are grateful for all of our class participants and hope that you are delighting your friends and family with all of the treats that you have learned to make!

Feel free to share this info and code with friends and family!
Classes make a great gift!

Kid's Classes
Our own Chef Christy is teaching some classes specifically for kids when they are out of school for Spring break and some other dates when kids are out of school and on a few weekend dates as well.

Our kids classes are all drop-off classes - making the classroom a kids only space (other than the instructor, assistants and teenage helpers). The classes are geared for kids ages 6 - 11. Please note that kids classes are not included in our class sale as they are already specially priced.

We will also be adding Kid's Summer Camp Classes for the summer - be on the look-out for those classes soon.

Recipe - Traditional Coffee Cake
I love coffee cake. I love the crunchy streusel topping. I love the spicy layer in the middle. I love that it is not too sweet - and so I love that I don't feel guilty eating it even for breakfast! As you will see, this recipe has several components - making and setting aside the spice mix, the filling mix and the streusel topping mix, and then making the cake batter and assembling before baking. The batter does come together easily - it can be made by hand or with a mixer. I like to bake these cakes in small aluminum loaf pans (1# - about 3" x 6"). The recipe makes 6 of that size pan and extras can be frozen - or they make great little gifts too. I hope you love this cake as much as I do!
