We love the holiday season, when an outpouring of generosity lights up the lives of our patients! Last week, the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and our volunteers provided gifts to almost 100 patients, who also enjoyed a bountiful pot luck spread at the clinic, with much of the food provided by the patients.
It is also a wonderful time to reflect on the many gifts we were able to provide thanks to your generous support. This past year:
- 102 patients got new eyeglasses
- 100 patient are now current on their Flu vaccine
-
27 patients were vaccinated against Shingles
-
50 patients received a TDap vaccine. Tdap stands for tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis - illnesses that can be pretty brutal.
-
Clinic volunteers administered more than 1500 A1C and Lipid tests to patients so we could monitor their diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
-
VIM was able to provide more than $5,000 in grocery gift cards to help stretch meager food budgets and offset the cost of prescription medications.
Looking toward the New Year, you have an opportunity to make an even greater impact. Your year-end gift will help VIM provide free, comprehensive healthcare to even more of our uninsured Cape May County neighbors in 2025. Together, we can ensure that those in need have access to the care they deserve.
Your donation – of any amount – will help patients manage chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease. Your gift of health will provide essential preventive care and mental health support.
