Now Open: 2025 Community Grants Cycle

Dear Ron,

May 23, 2025

Texas Pride Community Foundation is thrilled to open the 2025 Community Grants cycle this Friday, May 23—our first under our new name and in celebration of our 10th Anniversary. This year, we’ve launched a new grants portal designed to improve transparency, access, and efficiency as we continue funding bold, grassroots LGBTQ+ leadership across Texas, with a focus on rural, BIPOC, and trans-led efforts. Please note that all applicants will need to create a new profile in our grants portal. We encourage all who are building power in under-resourced communities to apply. Learn more and register for an infosession.

With sustained support from ViiV's Positive Action Grant, we’re excited to share that our Texas Health Impact Cohort will return for a second cycle spanning 2026 through 2028! This multi-year initiative supports grassroots organizations advancing care engagement and advocacy for people impacted by HIV—especially Black and Latinx trans individuals and gay men. Stay tuned for more details and the opening of the application portal towards the end of this year.

Progress Amongst Challenge

A Moment to Celebrate

This year’s legislative session has been one of the most difficult on record, with over 200 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills introduced—more than any previous session in Texas history. Yet even in the face of this overwhelming volume of harmful legislation, leaders from our LGBTQ+ Caucus and our partners at Equality Texas have remained steadfast in their advocacy for dignity, equity, and public health. From the Texas House’s historic vote to repeal the unconstitutional ban on same-sex conduct to advancing smarter HIV prevention, their work has brought hope and real progress to our communities. Follow here to keep up with Equality Texas' updates as they track the movement of this year's legislative efforts.

As we near the end of the 2025 legislative session and look ahead to Pride Month, we invite you—our grantees, donors, and supporters—to raise your voice in celebration. Share a message of encouragement, gratitude, or solidarity on social media, and tag @texaspridecf, @txlgbtqcaucus, and @equalitytexas. Together, let’s honor the resilience of our advocates and the strength of our community.
