Library News & Programs
For Adults & Children
| | Greetings from Director Stephanie Harrison | |
I am excited to announce that in the next few weeks, we are beginning construction on improvements to our Adult Library to better serve you. We are adding two new reading nooks with comfy chairs and small tables that will increase our reading and tutoring spaces. We are installing new, lower shelves for easier access to our books. We’ll upgrade the heating and air conditioning system and the lighting, which will lower our utility costs and make us more environmentally friendly. Finally, we are replacing the old carpeting and giving it all a fresh coat of paint. All of this work is made possible thanks to New York State Construction Grants, donations, and funds from our capital reserve.
The work will continue through the summer and be finished by the beginning of October. You may hear construction sounds and notice workers on premises, but staff will do their best to minimize disruptions to our services.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this exciting renovation!
