Baptism Stories from New Hope Christian Fellowship
On the Sunday of July 2, we celebrated the decisions of four people who have been saying “Yes” to Jesus and all He is and is for them more over the past year. Their journeys led them into the water of a backyard pool where we gathered and baptized them in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! Their stories are unique, and yet each one testifies beautifully of their being patiently and tenderly drawn to all Jesus is and is for them.

The first is Kristy, a woman who battled addiction for over 20 years. She has been joining us online each week for our Sunday worship gatherings. She does not turn on her screen so we can see her face, and mutes her sound, but her name has been there each week for over a year.

Second is Sandy, Sandy is Kristy’s father. Raised in a home with a father who showed little love, but demanded much in return, Sandy struggled for most of his life to break free from the anger, disappointment, blame, and excuses, of trying to be anyone but his father.

Project 2819: Developing Disciplemakers
We are happy to announce that at General Council 2023, ACLD launched a new disciplemaking program: Project 2819: Developing Disciplemakers.

Dear District Families,

First, thank you for your generous support of the launch of our new Discipleship curriculum (Project 2819). We are thrilled that, to date, over 100 churches are registered and engaging Discipleship more deeply in their local church. Several of you reached out over the past week and asked that we extend the promotion that we launched at Council. Our response is, OF COURSE!

Churches can sign up for an account at 2819.allianceleaders.org and use the promo code DISCIPLESHIP to receive the first 90 days free of charge. To use the code, click the “have a coupon” link, add the code, and click apply. It’s that simple.

We’ve seen great success when districts send out a quick note to their churches to consider using this tool. If you have not yet shared this resource with your district family, may I encourage you to do so?

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Hilda Maysonet MaysonetH@cmalliance.org We are here to support you.
EquippingU Dynamic Influence
EquippingU Dynamic Influence is a Two-year training track for pastors and leaders of Alliance churches with attendance of 200 people or fewer that began in 2022. Participants will meet online for four two-hour sessions each year.

The trainings will cover timely topics, including how small churches can grow during a pandemic. Our goal is to help pastors
in small churches find resources, lead well, and help their churches thrive.

The third webinar for 2023 starts on August 16 at 12 p.m. EST. Please register now and don’t miss this wonderful opportunity. We are glad to have you as part of this learning experience.
In this webinar, Karl Vaters, the small church guru, will present on "A New Way to Look at Vision-Casting." After his presentation, there will be a Q&A session for the participants to interact with the presenter.

Alliance Young Adult Gathering
The President’s Cabinet recently asked Church Ministries to take the lead on hosting a gathering for Alliance Young Adults. The Candidate Recruitment and Development Office is working with Josiah Stumbo and a diverse team of young leaders to host the first regional gathering in Cleveland at Grace Church— Olmsted Falls Campus.

The event is scheduled for October 13–14. The Alliance Young Adult conference will reach out to those who are in the 18–30 year old age range. The focus is to provide a place for Alliance young adults to experience the deeper life in Christ and discover their purpose in the local church.
September is Church Multiplication Month
Multiplication is core to the mission of the Church. Planting churches has always been—and continues to be—the best way to win the lost, disciple them into loving, nurturing, communities of faith, and develop them into winsome disciple makers. This is how Christ’s Kingdom is multiplied on earth!

The Alliance is and has always been a church-planting movement, and church multiplication is vital to the fulfillment of our Acts 1:8 mandate and our All of Jesus for All the World vision. God is always opening new windows of opportunity to plant churches among marginalized, least-reached populations in our cities, suburbs, and rural areas. As His people, we seize opportunities to walk through the doors He opens.

This September, The Alliance will be celebrating Multiplication Month. Please plan now to designate one Sunday in September as Church Planting Sunday in your church. Later this year, the National Office Church Multiplication team will be sending digital resources to help you convey the importance of church planting to your congregation and explain how they can be a vital part of a multiplication movement.

Stay tuned for a leader's guide and printable/digital promotion materials to use as needed!
