FULL SEND AT SILVERHEELS & LAST CALL
For the 7th year HPRS held the Silverheels 100-Mile Endurance Run in Fairplay, CO, as well as the 4th Annual Last Call 50-Mile Endurance Run. The events took place under the best weather weekend in the history of the event, on a course that saw a massive bloom of wildflowers thanks to monsoon season rains.

Officially the events saw 116 runners make it to the starting line. The 100-Mile saw 30 finishers for a 61% finisher rate that ties the all time high. Course changes to Silverheels shortened the course slightly, took off nuisance road sections and added more enjoyable single track trails. The Last Call 50-Mile had 47 Finishers for a 70% finishing rate, our lowest of all time. Six one hundred mile runners were successful in removing themselves from The Dance Hall List.

MAJOR CHANGES COMING TO THESE TWO EVENTS IN 2022!

HPRS is happy to announce that a number of changes will be made to the Silverheels/Last Call weekend in 2022. They are as follows:

1.) The 100-Mile will receive a 2 hours increase to the cut-off shifting it from 36-Hours to 38-Hours.

2.) The Last Call 50-Mile will also receive an additional 2 hours to increase the cut-off from 16-Hours to 18-Hours.

3.) We are adding a 55k with a 14-Hour Cutoff to the Last Call event.

4.) We have decided to do away with the 8-Hour Volunteer Requirement for the 2022 Silverheels 100-Mile Endurance Run. No qualifier, no volunteer requirement. Come run!

5.) There is a big possibility that these courses will endure course overhauls in 2022 due to a shifting of trail availability in the area per USFS adjustments. Stay tuned!

Registration for 2022 will open on December 1, 2021.
HPRS BREAKS THE GENDER MOLD AGAIN!
In 2017, The Human Potential Running Series was the first major race series in the nation to implement a black and white policy for Transgender Athletes. It's time to take it a step further, once again becoming the first.

HPRS is the first major race series in the nation to offer runners more than 3 options (typically Male, Female, or Non-Binary) for their gender identity during the registration process. This decision is inline with HPRS' mission to address and promote inclusivity within our sport.

Change 1:
You will select a gender identity during the "questions" section of registration process and no longer as part of your name, age, address, etc. The gender identities available are: Male, Female, Non-Binary, Gender Expansive, Gender-Fluid, Trans, and Agender.

Change 2:
We will no longer be posting gender in the results for our races. Every runner from 1st to last will identify as HUMAN.

To learn more about this decision, please read the article written by RD John Lacroix, or listen to his Ultra Stories Podcast Episode on the topic by clicking the buttons below. HPRS will not debate these decisions nor will we endure bigoted or insensitive comments. Our race, our rules.. run or don't. That simple. We strongly believe that this approach to gender identity is in the best interest of our community, our brand of trail and ultra, and works towards a more inclusive sport for ALL.
POLL

June Poll Results: HPRS will be reapplying for our 5-year permit in South Park for years 2022-2026. As we look ahead at all of our events, we recognize there is room to expand by adding additional distances to existing events. What we'd like to know is... What distances do you prefer we add more of? As An Example:
• We could add a 50k or 100k to Silverheels/Last Call Weekend
• We could add a Half Marathon to Sheep Mountain Weekend
• What distances do we need more of?

50k = 23.6%
Half Marathon = 21.1%
100k = 18%
100-Mile = 11.8%
Odd Distance like 40-Mile or 70-Mile = 11.2%
50-Mile = 9.3%
Marathon = 5%
