UK’S ESTATE WHISKEY ALLIANCE® ANNOUNCES FIRST WAVE OF CERTIFIED PRODUCTS

The University of Kentucky’s Estate Whiskey Alliance® has officially launched its first wave of Estate Whiskey Certified™ products, marking a significant milestone in the program’s mission to promote transparency and authenticity in whiskey production. The certification recognizes whiskey made entirely on the distillery estate using locally grown grains, assuring consumers of exceptional craftsmanship and quality.

Early certified products come from leading producers including Maker’s Mark, Hillrock Estate Distillery, Whiskey Acres and Black Fox Farm and Distillery. This new certification is helping set a higher standard for the industry by emphasizing local agriculture, sustainability and traceability.

UK INNOVATE LAUNCHES TRUST HUB TO ADVANCE MEANINGFUL INNOVATION

UK Innovate has launched the TRUST Hub, which stands for Translating Research through Universal Solutions Together. The hub brings together translational research, community partnerships, entrepreneurial support and sustainable design under one mission: advancing meaningful innovation through a human-centered lens. It applies universal design principles and co-creates solutions that align with partner goals.

Together, UK Innovate and Lockheed Martin are combining research and industry expertise to drive breakthroughs in engineering, energy, materials and manufacturing that benefit the Commonwealth and the nation.

LAUNCH BLUE ANNOUNCES SUMMER ‘25

UACCEL QUICK START + I-CORPS COHORT  

Launch Blue has announced its Summer 2025 cohorts for the UAccel Quick Start + I-Corps and UAccel: Health Care programs. Three teams will participate in the six-week UAccel Quick Start + I-Corps program, while seven teams join the first UAccel: Health Care program, which offers tailored support for healthcare innovations. Both programs help participants advance their solutions toward commercialization, including SBIR grant preparation, startup creation or licensing.
