AAQEP Resources, Templates Updated for

2025 Standards

Mark LaCelle-Peterson, President & CEO

Summer! Where does it go? Whether you’ve already taken some time to recharge or are looking forward to a little getaway before the new academic year starts, I hope this summer has been good for you.

At AAQEP, it’s been a productive time, not only in the usual activities of wrapping up one academic year and preparing for the next but also in rolling out updated resources to support members’ work as you put the 2025 standards into practice. (We are also getting close to completing the 2025 Guide to AAQEP Accreditation, updated training and materials for reviewers, and new guidance on data quality—stay tuned for those!)

I’m happy to announce that 2025-aligned project templates for self-studies are now available for use in the Accreditation Management Platform, and the content of the Member Resources section of our website has been fully refreshed. Head there for information organized by key stages of the accreditation cycle—from proposals to self-studies, site visits, and annual reports—as well as to register for the associated member webinars.

A few notes about these updates:

  • A parallel resource structure supports Accreditation Proposals, Initial Accreditation Reports (IARs), and Quality Assurance Reports (QARs) using the 2025 expectations framework. As you’ll see on those pages, each type of report now has its own detailed guidance accompanied by a single document compiling all of that report’s tables and templates. (Separate downloads of individual tables are still available for self-studies using the 2018 standards, located just under the 2025-aligned material on the IAR and QAR resource pages.)
  • The Accreditation Management Platform is now being used for constructing and submitting all self-studies via project templates for IARs and QARs, available for both the 2018 and the 2025 standards. An updated guidance document and recorded presentation on the website provide support for using these templates.
  • If you’re looking for general information about the initial accreditation pathway, that has been separated from the IAR resources and can now be found on its own webpage.

We will be back in touch as additional resources are completed. In the meantime, I hope you have an opportunity to rest and recharge before the new academic year starts.

Accreditation Proposals Now Open to AAQEP Affiliate Members

Karen Lowenstein, Director of Member Services

AAQEP is happy to announce that affiliate EPP members have an added benefit–the opportunity to complete an Accreditation Proposal as a first step toward seeking accreditation. Affiliate members can now get started right away on AAQEP’s scaffolded accreditation process.

The proposal is a great way to compile and curate outcome measures aligned to AAQEP Standards 1 and 2, and it allows providers to interact with and get feedback from peer reviewers. This service is available to EPP members for no charge and does not lead to any accreditation decision or other official action.

Proposal submission deadlines for the 2025-26 academic year are August 15, November 15, and March 15. Please contact me with any questions.
