WILLIAMS WORKS TRAFFIC TO WIN ADVANCE AUTO STOCK 100, TUNNY TAKES FIRST EVER VICTORY
25 drivers from 3 tracks and an array of series dropped into the Tom Wood Group Indianapolis Speedrome Powered by Lincoln Tech for Saturday August 17th’s Advance Auto Sales 100. Time trails were up first for the Sherley Unlimited Snow Company Stocks. Setting the quickest lap was southern invader Allan Williams Jr at 13.118 seconds. Williams would mix it up at the front of the pack throughout the race with Sportsdrome rivals Nick Reed and Alex Ware as well as Speedrome elite Larry Hahn and Doug Greig. Allan and Nick traded the lead 5 times before Williams prevailed for the victory. Reed’s runner-was trailed by Hahn, Greig, Josh Garr, Mark Eads Jr, James Wayne, Dale Harper, Tristan Riddle, and Scott Keen.
 
The front of the pack was action central in the Brown’s Oil Service Late Model 50 Lap Mike Greig Sr Memorial Figure 8. RJ Norton Jr smoothly led the first half of the circuits. A mid race red changed changed the whole complexion. After the restart, Ben Tunny and RJ made contact coming into and out of turn three giving Mike Riddle Jr an opening for first place. There wasn’t enough room for everyone causing an incident. Eddie VanMeter swept through and went on to victory. Norton escaped for second followed by Doug Greig, Jesse Tunny, and Austin Tunny. RJ and Austin captured preliminary heats.
 
It has been a long time since we’ve said this, a first ever feature victory for Tunny. This time we speak of Jeremy Tunny. The cousin to the Late Model Figure 8 aces grabbed his long-awaited initial victory Saturday night besting Kimmie Greig, Jess Holliday, Andrew Brown, and Don VanValkenburg III. Heat races were captured by Nigel Peters, Barry Turner, and Kevin Summers.The Reef Aquarium Shop Adult Faskarts main event saw point leader Dayton Shouse snag a third career win over heat race topper Dave Drinkard, Skylar Shouse, and Scott Stewart Sr.
