Dear Friends of Indigena,

For many of you, the works of Michael Robinson need little introduction. Over the years, Indigena has been a major gallery for the artist's outstanding etchings.

Michael was mentored by the late David Blackwood, one of Canada's premier artists. It was David who recognized the talent of Michael and wanted to advance his expertise in the etching technique.

I had the pleasure of writing a commentary for his book of poetry: A Bird Within a Ring of Fire: "Michael Robinson's etchings and poetry evoke the Great Spirit. He leads us through the dimensions of daily life to teach us about the power and hope that are accessible to us all." I still believe this today, and am thankful that Gallery Indigena had the pleasure of forming a relationship with this great artist. Sadly, Michael passed away more than a decade ago. We are happy that collectors still respond to his exceptional work.

Enjoy viewing the etchings presented below. Note the artist's attention to detail and the deep histories his subjects reveal.

Sincerely,

A Nation's Dream
