On behalf of Father Mark and all the Paulist Fathers, Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!

I wanted to thank you for your generosity to our Thanksgiving and Hygiene Drives. Parishioners and school families donated 350 bags of groceries and 220 turkey gift cards to support St. Joseph's Center in South LA. We also received more than 200 hygiene items for Mercado, which provides assistance to unhoused people.

We are also partnering with the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels for a toy drive. There are still a few ornaments on our Jessie Tree in the Church. The ornaments describe the child for which purchase a gift. You may keep the ornament for your Christmas tree as a prayer for the family to which you donated.

A special thanks, too, for those who regularly bring dry food items for our Food Pantry. Our pantry supports families of Santa Teresita Parish in Boyle Heights, staffed by the Piarist Fathers. With our donations, Father Federico Castillo, Sch.P., the Pastor, tells me that the parish is able to help support its Hospitality House for young people along the U.S. - Mexico Border near Mexicali, many who are unaccompanied minors. You may support the food pantry by bringing dry food items to the Church or Parish Offices.

Along with Saint Paul the Apostle, "I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus." (1 Cor 1:4) May your celebration of Thanksgiving Day bring you renewal and refreshment in Christ Jesus.
