On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, both the Middle School and Upper School students returned to campus for their first day of school. The campus was once again filled with the sounds of laughter and excitement as students shared stories of their summer adventures. The Seniors kicked off their final year with the traditional pancake breakfast with Dean of Students, Blake Dorfman '02 skillfully flipping a whopping 15 pounds worth of batter!

HOPES AND DREAMS FOR LOWER SCHOOL STUDENTS
During Lower School Orientation Day this Tuesday, Art Instructor and fellow parent Courtney Guay compared our school to a flourishing flower garden. She also orchestrated an engaging activity for parents to articulate their hopes and aspirations for their children's growth and success in the upcoming school year. With our dedicated teachers acting as nurturing gardeners, we can collaboratively cultivate an environment where our children can thrive and blossom.

THE STANLEY CUP COMES TO LAGUNA
Rob Foley '99, pictured in the black polo shirt, is the Chief Business Officer for the Vegas Golden Knights who secured their first Stanley Cup win in June 2023. Traditionally, the winning team keeps the cup for 100 days, allowing players, staff, and others to take it to their hometowns for celebrations. When the Golden Knights won this year, Rob thought about his old school, Laguna Blanca, and wanted to share the victory with current students. Some fellow alumni joined Rob on campus to celebrate: L to R Nick Behrman '08, Eric Anfinsen '99, Marty Osborn '99, Nicholas Miller '98, and Justin Roscoe, who briefly attended Laguna Blanca in the 90s.
