We started the year off right!

There is lots happening at the LFD and it was fun to hear all of the updates. Thank you to the businesses that help to make this happen each month – B52 & The Better Half, Dunn Brothers, Interstate PowerSystems, and Minnesota Energy Resources. See you next month!

Reminder that the Lakeville Fire Department offers Community Connect - a free, secure, and easy to use platform that allows you to share critical information about your business that will aid first responders and emergency response personnel when responding. By providing information that you feel is important for them to know about at the time of an emergency, they can ensure you and everything you care about is protected to the best of their ability.

See you next month!

ESST Webinar – January 31

JANUARY 25 and 27

A yearlong incentive to tackle the stigma and lack of understanding around dementia is underway with Representative Jon Koznick and Lakeville Councilman John Bermel.

Koznick and Bermel, are hosting kick off ‘Dementia Friends’ Information Sessions on Thursday, January 25th at the Lakeville Heritage Center at 2pm and a second session on Saturday, January 27th at The Fountains of Hosanna at 10am.

They are inviting people to join in learning about dementia and helping people who are living with it in our community. The Dementia Friends session helps you learn about dementia and the ways you can help.

If your Church, business, organization, or neighborhood group would like to host a session, they encourage you to contact them.  Future sessions can be found online HERE.

Approximately 99,000 Minnesotans age 65+ are living with Alzheimer's.

Anyone interested in attending the Dementia Friends Session can show up at the Heritage Center on Jan 25, or at The Fountains on January 27.

You are encouraged to RSVP HERE. For more information on hosting or attending a future session contact Rep Koznick or Councilman Bermel. More information about Dementia is available on line HERE.
