Legislative Update

2026 MISSOURI LEGISLATIVE SESSION BEGINS

The Missouri General Assembly gaveled in at noon on Wednesday, January 7. While we work on educating people about the reasons to “VOTE YES” on Amendment 3 in the fall of 2026, there are many ways we are working to protect women, children and babies (both pre-born and born) in this legislative session.

Just a few of the important pro-life pieces of legislation in this 2026 legislative session are: the “Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act”, Education on the Development and Growth of a Baby in the Womb in Public Schools, Protection from Dangerous Abortion Drugs, Prohibition of Public Funding for Unethical Research, Protection of Unborn Babies and Protections of the Processes for Initiative Petitions. These are just a few of the issues Missouri Right to Life is following and working with our legislators on. Our legislative team is continuing our review of all legislation that have affects on innocent human lives. Watch these weekly lifelines for updates on this legislation and more in the weeks and months to come.

Plan now to come to the pro-life “Show Me Life Action Day” on Wednesday, March 11 from 10:00-1:00 to visit with and give support to our pro-life legislators. Rally at noon on the first floor rotunda will feature Melissa Ohden, an abortion survivor and the Director of “The Abortion Survivors Network”.

Please pray for our Missouri House and Senate as they begin this 2026 Legislative session. Also, please pray for our National Leaders as they face so many issues across our nation and our world. In addition to our Congressmen and women and U.S. Senators, we are blessed to have many pro-life Missourians in Washington that are leading our nation in various positions.

Pray for our success in 2026 to make Missouri a place where women, children and babies are protected again.

Pray for our State Leaders as they fight to protect Missourians, born and unborn.

Pray for each other as we work together to “Make Missouri Pro-life Again”!
