Team Hope Returns to the Tour de Scottsdale March 28

Riding to Empower the Next Generation of Cancer Investigators

SWOG Cancer Research Network and its charity, The Hope Foundation for Cancer Research, are proud to lead Team Hope for its third year tackling the Tour de Scottsdale! Team Hope riders and donors advance cancer research through support of our Leadership and Project Development Course. This course is a specialized training program designed to instruct and mentor researchers as they develop and conduct large-scale cancer clinical trials.

Since 1999, the Leadership and Project Development Course has guided researchers from across the United States and beyond to conduct cutting-edge trials that improve cancer care and outcomes for patients everywhere. To date, 133 participants have launched dozens of practice-changing studies, offering vital access to the latest and best cancer treatments available.

Each fall, course participants engage one-on-one with SWOG’s most experienced leaders to develop a rigorous, relevant, and feasible clinical trial concept to launch within the NCI’s National Clinical Trials Network. The program involves intensive mentorship and online learning modules, and culminates in a three-day workshop with SWOG leaders at the group's statistics and data management center in Seattle.

A Ride that Advances Research
