AROUND THE CLUB

Introducing

Harriet

______________

Member Since 2008

If you've ever taken a dance class at Liberty, chances are you've shared the floor with Harriet. Her energy is contagious, her smile is unmistakable, and her love of dance shines through in every class she attends. For Harriet, dance has been one of her greatest joys since she took her first ballet class at age three.

A Liberty member since 2008, Harriet has found the perfect place to move, laugh, and connect with others. As part of the enthusiastic J-Crew, she's always ready to try something new, share a laugh, and encourage those around her. Even the latest dance craze is fair game – although she'll admit the Floss Dance is still a work in progress!

Many of Harriet's favorite memories stem from watching her son grow up at the club. She treasures the day he received the Liberty Lightning "Unsung Hero" award after his first swim season and still smiles when she remembers his handmade Jack Sparrow Halloween costume. When his name was announced, he proudly drew his sword, prompting an enthusiastic "Ahhh!" from the crowd. It's a Liberty memory her family will always cherish.

Family is also at the heart of Harriet's commitment to health and wellness. She believes that "health is our first wealth," a philosophy reflected in the way she lives each day. Whether she's spending time with loved ones, seeking out fresh local foods, or dancing with friends at Liberty, Harriet finds joy in the simple moments that keep life moving.

Save My Play Cameras Now Available!

We’re excited to share that we are now offering Save My Play camera systems on our indoor tennis courts.

Save My Play is an automated video platform that records court play and organizes it into easy-to-access clips. The system runs in the background during play, capturing matches and practice sessions with no setup or interruption for players. Save My Play fees will be noted when you log in to view your recorded play.

Members can record their tennis lessons, matches, and play by scanning the Save My Play QR code located at the front desk or on the tennis bulletin board. Forgot to scan the QR code? No problem! Visit the Liberty Save My Play webpage to view and purchase your recordings. Please note that recordings are available for purchase for up to six (6) days following the date of play.

Save My Play offers key benefits:

  • Skill development: Review matches to support improvement
  • Coaching support: Use real footage for more effective feedback

Don’t Let a Lettuce Recall Get You Down!

Recent concerns about Cyclospora have put iceberg lettuce in the spotlight. While checking the refrigerator for products included in the current recall is important, there are still plenty of fresh and flavorful ways to enjoy a satisfying salad.

Give one of these lettuce-free favorites a try!

Greek Salad

Cut 2 cucumbers and 2 large tomatoes into bite-sized pieces. Add ¼ of a diced red onion, 8 ounces of crumbled feta cheese and 12 Kalamata olives. Season with salt and pepper, squeeze the juice of one lemon over the top, and gently toss to combine.

Crunchy Carrot and Apple Salad

Combine two 10-ounce bags of matchstick carrots, 1 diced crisp red apple, ½ cup of chopped pecans and ½ cup of raisins. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons each of mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Pour the dressing over the salad, toss well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

For the latest recall information and a complete list of affected products, visit FDA.gov.
