COMMUNITY CORNER

The Project SEARCH Deadline to Apply is Tuesday, February 7, 2023

Project SEARCH is a year-long employment training program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a goal of obtaining employment, providing a unique workforce development experience. Interns accepted to the program experience three internship rotations over the course of a year and are fully immersed into the business environment. This program is a partnership between Great Oaks, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities.

Because the program is at a hospital or business, participants will spend their school day at that site. During the school year, students will rotate through two or three different internships and learn the skills of that career. Each experience will help build the skills they need for the world of work. The goal of the program is a job at that business or somewhere in the local community. You can learn more by clicking the flyer for more information, eligibility, and contact information for the program. To apply, click the linked button below to go to the Great Oaks application site.
