Dear Families,

Everytime we get together to make sandwiches for those in need, magic happens! It is one of the few times that folks of all ages and stages work together to practice our faith. We had grandparents, godparents, pre-schoolers through high schoolers, parishioners, Covenant men, visitors, old friends and new folks. I heard children leading adults, young adults meeting elder saints, and all praying together for those that would receive this food.

The Holy Spirit winds her way through the room, connecting us with love and to love. The Sandwich Project delivers those sandwiches to Midtown Assistance Center, The Gateway Center, and several small church food pantries, where the practice of our faith becomes fuel for the body. Thanks be to God!

Peace ,

Kathy

Children's Formation Begins!

Sept. 7, 10:30-11:10,

2nd fl Pritchett

We're Baaack! Children's Church began last week and Children's Formation starts this Sunday. See You @ 10:00 will begin right after the 9:00 service - We will all gather for fellowship in the courtyard until 10:25. You will hear a bell ring which is your cue to head to your classes. We will close the playground when the bell rings to help kids head on up to class. Can't wait to see you!

Parenting with God

Sept. 14, 10:30-11:10

Ross Rm, 3rd fl. Ellis Hall

Join other parents and grandparents as we lean into our role as Faith Formation storytellers for our children. The church walks beside you in this role, but what does it mean for you? We will talk about how to intentionally share our own stories of faith with our children and how to listen and wonder with them about how the Holy Spirit is working within them. We will witness and learn to be witnessed to, to bless and to be blessed - by our children and each other along this amazing, confounding, lovely, crazy journey.

The theme of Storytelling will guide us this year. I'm including a few articles to get you into the mood and to see the importance of telling our stories. We will also walk through Josh Scott's Parables - Putting Jesus' Stories in Their Place. It is a short, great book for discussion and a good one to have in your library if you feel moved to purchase it.

Nursery/Little Saints' Playground Playdate

Saturday, Sept. 20, 3:00-4:30,

All Saints' Playground

If you have a child in the nursery, it can be difficult to meet folks when you are shepherding those small humans into nursery care right before church or picking them up and running to lunch.  Join us in a relaxed setting to get to know each other while the kids play. Bring a blanket, we will sing a few songs with Ms. Emily, have snacks and waters and make connections.

Please RSVP to Kathy Roberts at kroberts@allsaintsatlanta.org.
