Portrait Attire: Dancers may wear any red, black, white, or grey dancewear. Feel free to show your dancer’s personality and style!

Portraits will be taken at the studio using a black backdrop with a red backlight.

We can’t wait to see everyone dressed and ready for their portraits!

Strutter Calendar

STS will be hosting Halloween Showcases the week of October 26th! This is a mandatory event for all Competitive Strutters.

During Showcase week, our regular class schedule will be adjusted — the updated schedule is included in this email for your convenience.

Think of the Showcase as a mini recital held at the Main Studio. It’s the perfect opportunity for Strutters to shine on stage and gain valuable performance experience before competition season officially kicks off!

What to wear:

Full team uniform

Two Nude Half Soles

Hair in a sleek, middle-part low ponytail with your Strutter bow and STS earrings.

Important: Attendance is required. Dancers who do not participate will need to schedule a private lesson to make up for missed performance practice.

Showcase Schedule

Adjusted schedule October 26th-29th. All teams will have practice on the same day as their Halloween Showcase performance. Dancers will be able to use the gym after practice to get ready for their performance. Please find your team’s Halloween Week schedule below:

Elite members will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the first competition December 5th. This performance serves as an evaluation to determine whether dancers will be placed on the competitive or performance level for the rest of the season.

This event is crucial, as it allows us to assess each dancer’s readiness, commitment, and potential for success in upcoming competitions. Final placements will be based on classroom and competition performance.

📩 Reminder: Coaches will be sending out individual assessments this month to provide dancers and families with valuable feedback as we move into competition season.

Accounts have been charged for the first of five payments toward competition and convention fees. Future charges will occur monthly from October through February.

Please note:

Any drops or additions made after this date will incur a $30 cancellation/late fee per competition.

All BNK tickets should be picked up. October turn in is scheduled for the week of October 26th.

STRUTTER SISTERS ARE BACK!

Strutter Families are all about building friendships, creating connections, and supporting one another throughout the season—not just for our dancers, but for our parents too! It’s a great way for families to connect, help each other out, and cheer one another on during a busy competition season.

Exchanges are completely optional and can be as simple as a sweet note, favorite snack, or small good-luck surprise. Keep it fun, simple, supportive, and stress-free!

Congratulations to our Grinch Cast! We are so excited for you to bring the magic of Grinchmas to life!

Your Cast Rehearsal Class will kick off on Monday, October 5th from 7:00–7:45 PM. Get ready to dive into character, have fun, and spread a little Whoville cheer.

All Competitive Teams are invited to perform at Welcome Santa on Saturday, November 14th at the Victoria Mall!

Golden Ticket Perk: Every competitive dancer who participates will receive a Golden Ticket good for one free absence from Acro, Technique, or Ballet. Golden Tickets cannot be used for choreography classes.
