My creative energy got walloped over the last 16 months.
There are several unfinished pieces that I started last year,
but I don't have any new work to share with you at this time.
I started off 2019 intensely focused on creating an entry for
Disney's D23 Expo Design Challenge
Haunted Mansion 50th Anniversary edition.
My piece "As The Moon Climbs High O'er Dead Oak Tree" was born.
I was chosen as a finalist and got to attend the Expo to see my artwork on display alongside the work of 22 other artists.
It was fantastic! It was also exhausting.
That coincided with an ongoing
major demolition/construction project right next door.
It shook my house, rattled my brain and crushed my creative soul.
I haven't been able to focus on my work for over a year.
In Spring my sweet kitty, Little Piglet Van Gogh, P.I., passed away.
On the heartbreak scale of 1 to 10, I'm still at about an 11.
I can't quite get into that Magical space where I create my art.
I'm hoping to find my way back soon.
When I have new work to share, you'll definitely hear from me!
