Welcome to the Second Half of 2026!
July 1 marks the beginning of the second half of 2026, and we wanted to give you an update on what's been going on at CCEH in the Resource Center in the first half of 2026.
| Between January 1 and June 30, 2026, CCEH has recorded 7,873 visits to the Resource Center, averaging 219 unique clients per month. In total, CCEH saw 143 new clients in the first half of 2026, which is nearly half of the new clients recorded in calendar year 2025. | | Our Resource Center is open Monday through Friday, 9am -11:30 am, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm - 4pm. Operating out of a 100-year-old duplex, the RC has one shower, two toilets, and one residential washer/dryer for clients to use. | | |
Our Resource Center Case Management team remains busy, averaging 31 case management appointments per week and approaching nearly 750 appointments between January and June.
Of the case management appointments logged, nearly 70 percent focused on housing readiness services, such as enrollment in housing program databases, obtaining vital documents - birth certificates, government-issued photo IDs, or social security cards - or working through benefits or housing applications.
Thanks to the hard work of CCEH staff and the determination of our clients, 17 individuals have been housed in the first half of 2026. Of those 17 individuals, three have moved into CCEH-owned or project based voucher apartments in Concord: the remaining were housed through partner agency programs or with private landlords willing to accept rental assistance vouchers.
| | |
On a typical weekday morning, about 55 people access the Resource Center between 9am and 11:30am. Some only stay long enough to check their mail or grab a cup of coffee; most stay for the entire morning, waiting for their turn in the shower or to see their case manager.
The numbers don't lie: CCEH's Resource Center continues to be a vital resource for individuals experiencing homelessness. To learn more about the Resource Center, or CCEH's other programs and services, please head to our website.
| | We are deeply grateful to our supporters - individuals, families, businesses, and organizations - who give their time, talent, or treasure to CCEH, ensuring we can continue to provide help and hope to our unhoused neighbors. | |
