Pastor Trudy's Message

Mutual encouragement!  In Eastern Kentucky we are constantly amazed how there is no one person doing all the encouraging.  It’s a team effort - the administrative folks at CAP and Julie at GLC, the crew leaders, the home owners, the spouses of the mission trippers, the kitchen crew, all the people praying at GLC, Vicar- where do you stop?  In our reading, Paul encourages the believers in Rome- without meeting them. I have seen it in action!  

Good and gracious God, thank You for the encouragers all around us. Help us to see them and to encourage others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

BAPTISM INFO CLASS THIS SUNDAY, MAY 7th

The class will take place immediately following the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Children are welcome to attend as well. To sign up for this class, please email Michelle to begin the baptismal process at GLC.

LAZARUS HOUSE MEAL 💐

This month we will be making a special Mother's Day dinner in Fellowship Hall for 60 people. While GLC will provide the main dish and dessert, we still need your help with donating the remaining ingredients and preparing the food. Check next week’s E-News for the sign up link!

SUMMER IS TIME FOR GROWTH! 

Let Pastor Trudy know if you'd like to grow in your faith this summer by being part of Adult Confirmation. It's OK if you have already been confirmed in the Lutheran tradition or another tradition. Over the course of 16 sessions you'll learn about the Bible, living out our faith, the ELCA and more.
