Texas Instruments
The upcoming solar eclipse is a great time to engage students in the Earth, moon, and sun relationship. TI activities and simulations that explore the topics of lunar phases, Earth’s seasons, and the masses of celestial objects can be a great way to provide students with some insight into what an eclipse is and why it’s so exciting!” If teachers need TI's software, email M. Grooms at mgrooms@ti.com to get a complimentary license to share the activity with students for a whole group experience.

NASA IV & V Education Resource Center (ERC)
NASA IV&V ERC is excited to support schools and organizations that are interested in learning more about the upcoming eclipse and want to plan an eclipse party. They are collaborating with several organizations across the state to engage the public in safely viewing the eclipse in addition to their traditional educator workshop series, which loans out solar telescopes, sunspotters, and solar scopes.
Also, of special note, the ERC has a unique solar observing educator certification to borrow the Space Weather kit to use with the eclipse and an Eclipse Journal for elementary. Contact Josh Revels for more information.
