The Changemakers – All Saints Remembrance – Holy Communion for ALL
A Changemaker takes risks and puts faith into action to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Sharing the transforming love, welcome and grace of Jesus Christ through relationship, healing, compassion and justice changes us and changes others. Jesus was a Changemaker. The Good News is, so are we!
Join in worship this Sunday as we continue to soar with Pastor Meredith’s message, “Collaboration: The Past, The Present, The Future” based on Luke 10:1-11 and engage this season’s prayer practice, “The Nest.” We will celebrate Holy Communion for ALL the Saints (that includes you!) and remember the Saints of our church have died in the past year, along with the Saints of our lives. For Online Worship, please have some bread/crackers and juice/beverage available to you for Communion. This will be a powerful, joyful, thankful worship experience, and we can’t wait to share in it with you!
Worship in the Sanctuary is at 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. and Online Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook, also available on YouTube. Nursery care for our youngest children is available beginning at 8:00 a.m. through the end of 10:30 Worship. Worship bags for children are available all morning, and during 10:30 Worship following Small Talk, children are invited to KidVenture Sunday School. Our Wiggler/Crawler Space in the Chapel is available during Worship, with a live stream of the Worship in the Sanctuary service.
Kick Off Your Sunday with FuelUP!
Start your Sunday with coffee, donuts, and fellowship in the Great Hall (lower level) at 9:15 a.m. This is a great chance to connect following 8:15 Worship and before 10:30 Worship. And did we mention donuts?
See below for more information about Small Groups for people of all ages, and at other times during the week see the yellow box for a complete list.

36th Annual DAUMC Cookie Walk
Planning is underway for the 36th Annual DAUMC Cookie Walk. This year’s Cookie Walk will take place on Saturday, December 12 from 8:00 am – noon in Great Hall. The DAUMC cookie walk is known for having a wide variety of cookies, candy, and other holiday treats. Customers fill a box with their items, and boxes are weighed to determine the cost.
All the proceeds from this annual event are donated to local missions. Last year, we were able to donate to seven local missions including Contact Ministries, Mini O’Bierne Crisis Nursery, Washington Street Mission, 5th Street Renaissance, St. John’s Breadline, Mercy Communities, and the Phoenix Center. The donations totaled $3200. We estimate that in the 30+ year history of this event, we have donated over $100,000 to local missions. That’s a lot of cookies!
Here are some ways you can get involved:
-
Bake cookies (any variety!). Freezer space is available at church if cookies are baked in advance. We suggest making 4 batches of each type of cookie. We will be packaging cookies again this year in plastic wrap or Ziploc bags, with 2 to 4 cookies per package.
-
Make candy. The Candy Corner is a favorite at the Cookie Walk, and it is always nice to have a variety of items. Ideas for candy include fudge, caramels, buckeyes, peanut clusters, truffles, or peanut brittle, just to name a few! Many candies can also be made ahead and stored in the freezer.
-
Help spread the word about the Cookie Walk by sharing Facebook posts and taking cookie walk flyers to places you frequent.
-
Donate empty ice cream buckets. The large, plastic, gallon-sized ice cream containers are great for storing cookies in the freezer. If you have any we can use, please bring them to the church office.
-
Help us decorate sugar cookies on Wednesday 12/9 and Thursday 12/10 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in Great Hall. No experience is needed, and we provide all the supplies!
-
Help on the day of the event. We need volunteers to do a variety of jobs to help the cookie walk run smoothly.
Contact Justine Dion (309-840-3652) or Holly Claunch (217-503-9632) for more information or if you would like to help on the day of the event.

Hanging of the Greens / Potluck Pizza Party
Tuesday, December 1, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Get ready to kick off the Christmas season together! Everyone is warmly invited to come help transform our beautiful DAUMC facility for the holidays and enjoy a potluck supper.
We’ll start decorating at 4:00 p.m., filling the church with cheer and Christmas spirit. At 5:30 p.m., we’ll pause for a moment of prayer and share a delicious pizza supper — just bring a side dish or dessert to add to the table if you can!
After supper, we’ll continue decorating and enjoying fellowship. Come for the whole evening or drop in whenever you can — all helping hands are welcome. Nursery care will be provided so families can join in the fun with ease.
Let’s celebrate, decorate, and enjoy this joyful time together!

Help us at the Sherman
Soup Social
Sunday, November 1
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Help Us Bring People Together Around the Table! Our emerging faith community is hosting a Soup Social at Interurban Merchant (112 W Main St, Williamsville) on Sunday, November 1 (2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) and we'd love your help.
We're creating a cozy, welcoming space where neighbors can enjoy a warm bowl of soup, play some games, meet new people, and build community. We're keeping things simple: good food, good conversation, and good company!
We're looking for a few folks willing to make a crockpot of soup, bring bread or drinks, help set up, welcome guests, or clean up afterward. Help us create a space where everyone belongs. Click here to sign-up or scan the QR Code!

Wreaths Across America
Complete by Monday, November 30
Wreaths Across America, the national nonprofit with a yearlong mission dedicated to remembering the fallen, honoring those who serve, and teaching children the value of freedom, announces "Remember Me" as its official theme for 2026.
The theme draws inspiration from an unexpected source: a line from the film "Home Alone 2." The quote "Maybe they don't forget about you, but they forget to remember you," underscores the importance of actively remembering the individuals who served, especially those whose stories risk being lost to time.
The Springfield Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol is seeking sponsorhips for wreaths to be laid at Camp Butler National Cemetery. For each wreath sponsored, the Squadron gets a return of $5.00 to support cadet activities.
In 2025, DAUMC sponsored 25 wreaths. This year, our goal is to sponsor 50 wreaths. Please help us meet this goal by scanning the QR code and completing sponsorship payment online.
