On January 9th, CHFA was proud to debut Episode 2 of The Buildout podcast. The episode explores how developers are responding to Colorado’s housing shortage by leveraging innovative technology including modular and 3D-printed homes. “I actually think the opportunity for modular housing in Colorado is greater than probably most other states,” explained Nathan Peterson, Founder and CEO of Vederra Modular, in an interview included in the episode.
Episodes in Season One are released every other Thursday, and Episode 3 will go live on January 23rd. Listeners can subscribe to The Buildout on Apple, Spotify, Amazon Music, and wherever podcasts are available to be alerted to new episodes. Episodes may also be heard on the CHFA website.

new and updated affordable housing development resources | |
Earlier this month, in partnership with the legal firm Baird Holm, CHFA released the Affordable Multifamily Accessibility Comparison Report. The report is a technical resource for Colorado multifamily affordable housing developers and provides an overview and comparison of housing accessibility standards required by federal and state law.
In addition, CHFA recently completed a comprehensive review and update of its Colorado Affordable Housing Developer’s Guide, adding new and up-to-date information about the affordable housing development process. The Guide is designed to help support local for-profit and nonprofit developers, community leaders, and advocates seeking to ensure that safe, decent, and affordable housing is an intentional and integrated part of their community fabric.
