Kate Scott — a Learning Center tutor and former middle-school math teacher and instructional coach — will review some middle-school math topics. Participants will shore up their understanding of the concepts and learn techniques to help struggling students.

Free and open to new and returning volunteers working with students at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

What are the social and emotional milestones of the students you work with? How do those milestones influence their relationships and ability to learn?

In this session with Alice Cohen, you'll learn to understand and connect with your students. You'll also get the tools and strategies to help them build resilience, sustain attention, and resolve conflicts, so you can best support them in their growth.

Alice Cohen is the Lead Teacher for Social Emotional Learning with Cambridge Public Schools.

CSV is thrilled to once again be an official charity partner of the Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K!
