A Conference to Remember

Each year, the Four Rivers SHRM Annual Conference serves as a powerful reminder of just how fortunate we are to be part of a community so deeply committed to growth, connection, and leadership. We are blessed to have the opportunity to gather, learn, and be inspired by peers who have poured their passion into their careers—individuals who not only lead within their organizations, but who also invest in lifting others along the way. Their willingness to share experiences, insights, and lessons learned challenges each of us to grow and strengthens the collective impact of our profession.

Events like this do not happen in a vacuum. Behind the scenes, an incredibly talented conference committee works year-round to thoughtfully design a curriculum that educates, inspires, and reflects the evolving needs of our members. Countless volunteers give their time and energy to ensure every detail is executed with care. And perhaps most importantly, we are supported by a community that shows up—engaged, willing, ready to contribute, and play along. It is that spirit and shared ownership that makes our chapter so special. The success of our annual conference is not just in the program itself, but in the people who make it possible and the culture we’ve built together.

KYSHRM Launches Legislative Affairs Volunteer Initiative

Kentucky SHRM State Council is launching a new HR Legislative Affairs Volunteer Initiative, designed to connect HR professionals directly with Kentucky legislators. This is a unique opportunity to ensure policymakers receive trusted, real-world, nonpartisan insight on issues impacting our workforce.

The Council is building a network of HR Volunteer Advisors across Kentucky’s six legislative districts who will:

  • Serve as a credible, research-based HR resource to legislators
  • Strengthen year-round relationships with policymakers
  • Receive SHRM toolkits, legislative updates, and engagement materials
  • Help ensure workplace legislation is informed, practical, and aligned with today’s workforce realities

Click here to read the HR Legislative Affairs Volunteer description outlines the role, expectations, and impact in more detail. If you have considered getting more involved at the state level, this is a meaningful way to elevate HR’s voice while representing SHRM Kentucky. For more information contact Sarah Bennett or Sonia Osman.
