Building Faithfully Campaign

Sunday, October 11

One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. Psalm 145:4

As we begin this final week of Building Faithfully communications before our commitment Sundays (October 18 and 25), we celebrate the Lord’s gracious provision of this campus and its many resources. The church is not the land or the buildings, but it is the people of God. Yet, in these buildings, we gather to hear God’s Word, worship, grow, and minister. We also gather to celebrate, fellowship, mourn, and labor together for his kingdom. The land and these buildings are gifts by God’s grace through those who have gone before us, and we continue building faithfully just as God has called us in this time. We pray that our church body will grow in our love of God and his church through this campaign as we faithfully steward the resources he has entrusted to us. We look forward to celebrating together, the work of God’s hand as these commitments glorify him. As you prepare to make your commitment next Sunday, Rob Veerman and Bobby Silver, Co-Chairs of the Building Faithfully Campaign, will be available in the Book Nook to answer any campaign questions immediately after Sunday evening's worship service, or you can find out more about the Building Faithfully Campaign by clicking here.

"Anchored Leadership in Turbulent Times"

at RTS Charlotte

Friday, October 30

All are invited to attend "Anchored Leadership in Turbulent Times" seminar at the RTS campus in Charlotte on Friday, October 30. Our Senior Pastor, Kevin DeYoung, is one of the featured speakers. The cost is $50 and includes lunch.

We live in an age marked by anxiety, cultural upheaval, institutional distrust, and rapid change. These realities bring unique challenges for Christian leaders. How do we lead with courage without becoming reactionary? How do we lead with conviction and love? How do we exercise wisdom without simply following the spirit of the age?

The opportunity of Christian leadership is to lead in such a way that the character of God shines through us. Leadership shaped by God’s character, and wisdom drawn from his Word, is what will bring untold blessing to churches, ministries, businesses, and institutions.

Anchored Leadership in Turbulent Times brings together pastors, ministry leaders, and Christian leaders in the marketplace for a conference devoted to the character, convictions, and wisdom needed for faithful and godly leadership.

Drawing upon the deep biblical and theological resources of the Christian faith, as well as lessons learned through years of leadership in the church, higher education, government, law, and public life, we will consider what it means to lead with steadiness, courage, prudence, virtue, and faithfulness when the ground around us is shifting.

RTS Equip Series: "Redeeming Sexuality"

at RTS Charlotte

Monday, November 2

All are invited to the campus of Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) Charlotte on Monday, November 2 for their Equip Series featuring "Redeeming Sexuality" with Scott Mehl.

In a culture marked by confusion about sexuality, the church is called to recover a distinctly biblical vision—one that is shaped not by cultural pressures, but by the redeeming work of Christ.

Join Dr. Scott Mehl for an insightful and pastoral exploration of how the gospel transforms our understanding of sexuality for every stage of life. Dr. Mehl will show how God's design for both marriage and celibacy point us to the beauty, sufficiency, and glory of Christ.

Whether married or single, young or old, this event will encourage you to see sexuality not merely as a matter of personal fulfillment, but as an area of life transformed by the gospel and ordered toward God's glory.
