Medicare 2024 Premiums and Deductibles

Medicare has just announced the Medicare Part B premium and deductible amounts for 2024.  

The increases were about what we expected.

• Basic Part B premium for 2024 will be $174.70, an increase of $9.80
• Part B deductible will be $240, an increase of $14.

For those of you with a Medicare Supplement G plan, this means you pay the first $240 of medical services. After you have met that deductible, all Medicare approved medical services are covered.

New IRMAA Amounts for 2024

If you pay an Income related Adjustment on your premium, those have also changed for 2023.  

At first glance, it does appear they have also been slightly reduced. You can see them at the CMS website here
