GSFC/GAfutures has mailed out GEORGIA MATCH letters to the current seniors - Class of 2027! Seniors can also use this page to review FAQ's to answer questions and navigate to their GAfutures Student Dashboard to view a PDF of their letter and list of colleges that are on their letter.

The colleges listed on your GEORGIA MATCH letter and your GAfutures Student Dashboard are an academic match based on your HOPE GPA and they are holding a spot for you in their Fall 2027 Class.

Coastal Georgia Early Free Application Opportunity

Students don’t have to wait until November. They can apply to Coastal Georgia now using fee waiver code VIP2COASTAL. Beginning November 1, the application fee will automatically be waived, so students will not need a code.

November 15 = decision by December 1

Students who complete their application and submit their transcript by November 15 are guaranteed an admission decision by December 1.

REALTORS® of Greater Augusta Scholarship

REALTORS® of Greater Augusta is excited to, once again, offer their annual President's Scholarship! In 2006, the REALTORS® of Greater Augusta (RGA) started the President’s Scholarship Award Program to recognize area high school seniors for their accomplishments and award scholarships to alleviate expenses of their college education. Since its inception and including this year’s recipients, RGA has awarded $190,000 to local students. The committee selects recipients based on academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, honors, and leadership positions held throughout their high school years. 

There are (14) $1,000 scholarships available to local graduating seniors. This scholarship is open to all fields of interest (not just real estate). Applications must be completed and returned to the Association by March 5, 2027. The application and information can be found here: https://www.augustarealtors.com/youth-scholarship-program/

Applications are now open for the 2027 DNR Career Academy! This weeklong summer program, scheduled for July 18–24, 2027, gives rising high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to explore career paths within DNR through hands-on experiences and direct interaction with DNR professionals. The Academy will welcome up to 24 students at Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center and Georgia 4-H’s Camp Jekyll.

Throughout the week, students will visit wildlife management areas, fish hatcheries, state parks, historic sites and coastal destinations to see DNR’s work in action. Representatives from each division will share insights into their work, how it supports our mission, and the career opportunities available across the Department.

The Career Academy is a department-wide effort, and the support of our employees plays an important role in its success. Many of you have served as instructors, mentors, and hosts, helping students connect what they learn in the classroom with real-world experiences. We have also seen the program’s impact continue beyond the summer, with graduates pursuing part-time positions, internships, and volunteer opportunities at DNR sites across Georgia.

Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Georgia

Aquinas is looking for a sophomore who would be interested in attending the HOBY conference in the summer 2027. Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Georgia is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to inspiring high school sophomores across our state to recognize their leadership potential and become catalysts for positive change in their schools, communities, and beyond. The seminar will take place June TBD, 2027 at Georgia Southern. If you are a sophomore and interested in attending, email Mrs. Darley a short paragraph about why you would be a good fit for this program. Send to Mrs. Darley by Monday, November 16th.  

This program is designed for students who are curious and driven. Our flexible online format lets them explore subjects like business, law, biology, and more on their own terms, fitting learning around their busy schedules. They’ll engage with expert-led content and receive guidance from mentors, allowing them to take ownership of their education. Upon successful completion of a course, students earn a Certificate of Completion from the University of Notre Dame. 

A Preview Day is an open-house style event that allows you to get familiar with a campus, faculty, staff, and current students. Most Preview Days are offered on Saturdays, so they are a very convenient way to get to know a campus and the community.
