Providing settlement services that are personalized, flexible and meet the changing needs of our clients requires experienced staff members, strong relationships with partners and a committed team of volunteers.
Such collaborations allow us to help newcomers through their transition and integrate them into Canadian life.
Settlement Workers in Schools
Settlement Workers in Schools support newcomer children and their families by providing information and referral services. Our team also collaborates with partner-schools in events such as the two that happened this April at Bishop Marrocco/Thomas Merton C.S.S.: (1) Members of Parliament speaking to ESL classes, and (2) a Conference on Latin-American entrepreneurs in Canada.
National Volunteer Week (NVW) is a celebration of Canada's millions of volunteers. Every year we join the celebration to show appreciation to those who, year after year, support us in our mission to connect newcomers to their new communities.
Our team of Volunteer Mentors commit their time and experience to help us facilitate programs that help our newcomer clients thrive in their new home.
Thank you Volunteers!
Our Community Connections Mentorship Program connects newcomers not only to the right services, but also to the right people. We work with a team of Volunteer Mentors who can assist our clients on their journey to become settled and integrate into their new country.
