Prayer List
During these days filled with much uncertainty, fear, and frustration, may we find comfort in these words from Isaiah 43:1-2
"But now thus says the Lord,
the on who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you."
This week we pray for:
Lemoine Peart and Tim Mendiola
Prayers of gratitude and joy and many blessings on their marriage.
Dave Noble
Prayers of praise and thanksgiving for a clear cancer scan, for excellent medical care and for the love and support from family and friends at Westminster and from the community.
Linda, daughter of the Iams' neighbors
Prayers for guidance and strength as Linda is facing a leg amputation due to diabetes.
Juli Gillespie's sister Mary and son Bruno
Prayers for safety as they are facing the dangers from the raging wildfires on the West Coast. Mary lives in the Bay Area in California, Bruno in Seattle, Washington.
Friend of Linda Houston
Prayers for Linda's friend who lost their house to the fire in California.
Friends of the Relles
Prayers for the friends of Candy and Frank as they are grappling with the bad air quality due to the fires in California.
We pray for all those affected by the fires on the West Coast: those who lost their lives, who lost their homes and livelihood. Prayers for first responders and all who offer support and comfort to people affected by this natural disaster.
Prayers for students at the College of Wooster and in all the schools in our community. We pray for safety and for a rich learning experience. We pray also for teachers and staff as they work hard to make this new school year safe and fun and meaningful.
Continued prayers for all of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in this country and across the world. We pray for those who lost loved ones; those among us who cannot visit loved ones in nursing homes or hospitals; those who lost jobs; those whose livelihoods and safety is endangered.
During this election season, as we are overwhelmed with so much divisive rhetoric, we pray for wisdom and guidance so our faith community could show love and compassion in the face of hatred.
