We are beyond grateful to the Christoffersen Family who generously donated to support the purchase of a new Panda Warmer for the Bronson Battle Creek (BBC) Emergency Department. The warmer provides an effective warming therapy platform along with the components needed for emergency care. Kristin Visel, emergency department manager at BBC shared her gratitude to the Christoffersen Family for their support. “This warmer helps small children and babies regulate their body temperature. This can be critical at birth or when experiencing a trauma. It is an extremely important piece of equipment for us."
In addition, earlier this year, the family established the Christoffersen Family Trauma and Emergency Services Endowment to honor the life-saving care that was provided to their daughter, Rachel. The purpose of the fund is to support initiatives like new and innovative technologies, resources, and education that assist our trauma and emergency services care teams.

Bronson Children's Hospital Virtual Run & Walk Success
|
The 2021 Bronson Children's Hospital Run & Walk presented by Mall City Mechanical was a great success, raising more than $172,000 for children and their families who visit the only children’s hospital in southwest Michigan. The proceeds of this event will support pediatric life enhancing services, such as advanced illness management, child life services, art therapy, music therapy and more. These services support the patient and family experience, and have been shown to improve outcomes for hospitalized children.
Derek Rowe, president of Mall City Mechanical shared, “We are proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Bronson Children’s Hospital Run & Walk. We know how important these programs are for patients, families and the community." Thank you to our committed participants and donors who made this year's event a success!

The 2021 Cancer Care Spring Fling raised more than $49,000 to support cancer patients and their families who visit the Bronson Cancer Center in Battle Creek. The event shifted to virtual this year and brought patient stories, a silent auction and even a traveling elixir fixer to the comfort of participants’ homes! The live-streamed event was complemented with a Sunshine Toyota Party Box full of delicious food.
Proceeds from the event will benefit programs like patient transportation to and from medical appointments, medications, nutritional supplements, and other needs that are barriers to treatment and recovery for patients. Thank you to our Spring Fling committee, participants, donors and dedicated sponsors who made this event such a success!
