108 Leonard
Tribeca, New York, NY
Grand Lobby on Leonard Street
A century on, the bold architectural style of McKim Mead & White remains unquestionably relevant. But in Tribeca, Jeffrey Beers International is breathing new life into one of the famous firm’s most beloved Romantic landmarks.
From the moment you walk through one of three limestone entrances or arrive into the heated motor reception of 108 Leonard, you’re struck by the sumptuous architectural details, like the double staircase, marble pillars, and landmarked chandelier. Look again and a whole other world is revealed: smart, detailed design choices paired with ceiling heights and windows on a grand scale – a vision that could only be dreamed up by a 21st-century architectural firm that specializes in design for the world’s leading hotels. This historic landmark is now the ultimate setting for modern urban living.
The amenities were designed to create a sense of a large villa, with modern details and well-appointed spaces, to create a sense of luxury beyond the limits of one's individual apartment. We planned and designed homes that felt like a Parisian, or another European city, apartment handed down from generation to generation. With modern insertions within a classic shell, each unit makes a lasting impression.

Omni PGA Frisco Resort
Texas
International architecture firm, SB Architects, part of Egis Group, known for creating spaces that capture the history, culture, and context of each location alongside Jeffrey Beers International, a full service studio that specializes in architecture, design, and planning for hotels, resorts, restaurants and residential, were thrilled to celebrate the opening of the new Omni PGA Frisco Resort, a mixed-use development in Frisco, Texas, which opened on May 2.
Nestled alongside the PGA of America Headquarters, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is comprised of 500 luxurious guest rooms and suites, 10 exclusive four-bedroom ranch houses, 13 restaurant and bar concepts, nearly 130,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting space, four pools, a leading-edge golf training center, a destination Mokara Spa, and more.
The material palette starts with a grounded foundation of blackened steel, oak, and limestone and adds flourishes like smoked glass, perforated brass, and antique bronze for extra interest. An overriding color palette of masculine-leaning blues and greys is augmented by pops of amber, burgundy and greens. Decidedly Texan accents like plaid, cowhide and chevron patterning bring in a sense of place, but never overpower the clean, contemporary design. For this project, the studio worked with Oakland, CA-based creative collective Local Language to commission local artists, instructing them to draw inspiration both from the game of golf and the captivating narrative of Texan cowboys and ranchers.

Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown
Welcome to a city that is perpetually changing, yet timeless in its grandeur and elegance. And nowhere in the nation’s capital reflects this duality quite like Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown. Located in the fashionable West End and adjacent to the historic Georgetown, Fairmont welcomes guests in capital style.
For our renovation of the Guest Lounge, Event & Meeting Spaces, and Suites, we were inspired by DC’s grand architecture and lush parks. The color scheme is fresh and bright to maximize the natural light, and walls are painted white with additional wall trims for an elevated look. Dark stained wood floors and gold wallcoverings provide drama.
Drawn to the historical prominence of Washington D.C., the selected artwork merges contemporary sophistication and historical tradition through locally recognizable abstract visuals reminiscent of iconic landmarks, conceptually orientated embellishments, and thought-provoking compositions. With nods to grand architecture and beautiful gardens, the artwork pays homage to the layered past of Washington D.C. and encourages guests to immerse themselves in the urban oasis of luxury and leisure.

Chef Daniel Boulud has officially reopened the doors to his Upper East Side institution, Café Boulud, at the new location of 100 East 63rd Street.
The Café Boulud brand holds significant meaning to Chef Boulud as it is named after the original Café Boulud which his grandparents opened over 100 years ago outside of Lyon, France. Chef Boulud opened Café Boulud in New York City in 1998 and has since expanded the brand to locations in Palm Beach, the Bahamas, and Toronto, with a new Beverly Hills location expected to open next year.
The bright and airy space features Art Deco and vintage accents throughout, along with boasting an impressive art program. The black and white tile and varnished wood flooring is original, as are the vaulted ceilings with decorative, clover-shaped molding. Mirrored panels, velvet green banquets, sculpted bronze, gilded copper, and polished stone add additional accents throughout the restaurant creating an inviting and stylish space. The art program features a selection of pieces reflecting Chef Boulud’s longstanding connection to New York City’s art world. The restaurant showcases works by famous European artists curated by Galerie Murlot.

Peter Luger
Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, NV
Legendary Peter Luger Steak House has arrived at Caesars Palace Las Vegas marking their first U.S. location outside of New York. Operating for over 135 years, Peter Luger is New York’s top-rated steak house and a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
JBI was tasked with bringing the heritage, look, and feel of the historic Williamsburg restaurant to the Las Vegas theatrical environment and adventures audience. We worked closely with the Turtel Family, who have owned the restaurant for four generations, to understand Peter Luger’s story, DNA, and soul. The family was incredibly hands-on in selecting materials and approving custom designed lighting and furniture to ensure each detail was an accurate depiction of the original restaurant. To honor the restaurant’s original location, we curated and installed black and white photography of Williamsburg by contemporary artist Gregoire Abrial. To appeal to the Las Vegas visitor, we magnified key design elements, such as strikingly dark wood flooring and impressively sized brass chandeliers, for drama and incorporated an expo kitchen for added entertainment and atmosphere.

Paranza
Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas
Atlantis Paradise Island welcomes Paranza, the highly anticipated restaurant by celebrated Michelin-starred chef Michael White. A love letter to Italy offering innovative Italian regional cuisine, Paranza serves as a fine dining experience at The
Cove, the resort’s elegant all-suite retreat. Paranza marks another milestone in Atlantis' 25th anniversary this year, as Chef White joins Nobu Matsuhisa (Nobu) and José Andrés (Fish) in making Atlantis the only resort destination in the Caribbean with three Michelin star-rated chef concepts.
Paranza’s design is inspired by both the Bahamas’ gorgeous vibrant azure waters and white sand beaches and Italy’s dramatic coastline and sophisticated communities. Upon arrival, guests enter a winding walkway that leads to the discovery of the patio, which sits underneath a wooden pergola and faces the stunning vista of Atlantis’ famous Royal Towers. The expansive outdoor patio unfolds into the main dining space, permeated with earthy hues of cerused oak, smoky blues and bright cognacs. Handsome fixtures include hand-blown blue glass, custom lighting, oversized antique mirrors framed in iron arches and more. Three family-style tables are perched adjacent to the bar area, while a custom wine wall for temperature-controlled red varietals serves as a focal point to the entry of Paranza’s private dining room, which features additional bespoke design elements, including oversized brass light fixtures in the shape of seashells.

Amore Del Lago
The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Oconee, GA
As close to nature’s perfection as you can get, yet not far from Atlanta, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee is one of the most luxurious lakeside resorts in Georgia, a place where lodge-like charm, world-class accommodations and highly personalized service create an unforgettable experience. Dining at this Lake Oconee, GA resort is strongly tied to its surroundings.
JBI was asked to create a new restaurant, Amore Del Lago, in an existing space within the resort. The restaurant would be both family-friendly and elevated. We therefore setout to create a warm and inviting atmosphere inspired by homemade Italian food, being out on a wooden speed boat on either Lake Cuomo or Lake Garda, and the resort’s lodge-like charm. Clean warm white walls are paired with rich materials like soft green leathers, brushed brass detailing, and quartzite bar tops and tabletops. Striking lights fixtures add drama, the black and white art speaks to the surrounding lake views, and residential touches like bookshelves provide familiarity.

U.S. Bank Tower
Los Angeles, CA
Silverstein Properties, a private national real estate developer, owner, and property manager, made a $35 million capital improvement program to upgrade and reposition the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles.
Silverstein Properties worked with international design firm Jeffrey Beers and architecture firm A + I to lead the capital improvements that modernized elements within the building and provided a workplace environment that meets the evolving needs of both traditional and creative office tenants.
Upgrades of common spaces include redesigning the building’s main entrance and lobby with a new day-to-night juice and cocktail bar, a grab & go market, additional seating, and collaboration areas. The company also planned a new amenity destination for building tenants on the 54th floor that features food and beverage options and an event space, as well as a full elevator modernization program.
Now completed, US Bank Tower sports a look and feel more in line with the world’s leading boutique hotels. Informed by hospitality design, Silverstein’s repositioning plans transformed all aspects of the building to create a workplace environment that meets the evolving needs of the modern workforce.

Take 5 With: Dio Kaltis, Associate Principal
Following the opening Peter Luger Las Vegas, his first JBI project as Design Lead, we take five minutes with Dio to ask five fun questions.
1. Who is your ideal dinner companion, alive or dead? Why?
Anyone who has a story to tell—an interesting past, a stimulating presence and an exciting future. One of my favorite dinners was with a villager in Siem Reap who cooked me an amazing meal despite not having any running water or electricity. He had been through so much but was so optimistic about the future and grounded in the present.
2. Last meal?
Such a tough question for someone as food-obsessed as I am, but I’ll keep it simple: homemade pasta and an amazing Pomodoro sauce with fresh basil.
3. Favorite city for dining and best restaurants?
My dad’s hometown of Lahore or right here in NYC—you’d be surprised as to how similar the two are. In NYC I love eating ethnic food in small restaurants that I think only I know about (until they show up on Eater a month later). I also love dining with my chef friends as they’re working on menu development and nerding out about recipes and ingredients.
4. Restaurant design (or hospitality/hotel design, if you prefer) pet peeve?
When a designer just makes a space look pretty and neglects to truly solve problems—because that’s really what we’re here to do. Don’t get me wrong, I am a sucker for cool, quirky furniture and a crazy patterned wall or floor, but good design should truly help people thrive in spaces.
5. Who is your design hero/heroine? Why?
American artist and designer Ray Eames. Her many designs not only work but are also smart and fun.
