ACCESS Method™ Foundations Cohort

Building Communication, Regulation, and Connection Through Family-Centered Support

The Foundations Cohort is a 40-week training experience designed for parents, caregivers, Communication & Regulation Partners (CRPs), educators, therapists, and support professionals of nonspeakers with sensor and neuromotor challenges common in autism, Down syndrome, etc.

Participants learn practical strategies for supporting communication, regulation, dignity, and meaningful participation while strengthening their skills as communication and regulation partners.

Built around the Four Pillars of the ACCESS Method™, the Foundations Cohort provides weekly live instruction, guided implementation, coaching, assessments, downloadable resources, and ongoing support within a relationship-centered learning community.

ACCESS Method™ Coach Cohort

The Coach Cohort is an advanced 40-week professional training experience designed for experienced CRPs, educators, therapists, consultants, and support professionals with experience supporting nonspeakers who are seeking additional training and insights to support families as ACCESS Method™ Coaches.

Coach Candidates deepen their understanding of the ACCESS Method™, refine advanced communication and regulation support skills, develop clinical reasoning, learn video analysis and coaching strategies, and gain experience mentoring families through implementation of the Four Pillars. Successful completion results in a certificate and may prepare candidates for future ACCESS Method™ licensing opportunities.

ACCESS Communication™ Begins This Week

Both the Foundations and Coach pathways begin with ACCESS Communication™, a 12-week training focused on understanding how movement, motor planning, emotions, sensory processing, rhythm, and communication partner skills influence communication access when whole-body apraxia affects reliable communication.

Participants learn practical strategies to support open, reliable, multimodal, text-based communication and develop skills in Purposeful Pointing, Quiet Eye™, Ocular Motor Support, Cross-Midline Spelling™, communication partner skills, AAC supports, motor learning principles, and building communication reliability.
