Dear Member,

PBA Member, Jason Quick from Quick's Bus Company, asked us to share with you that a virtual public hearing for the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standards for Heavy-Duty Vehicles – Phase 3 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking is happening next week and he is urging PBA Members to participate.

Per Jason, "Participating will provide the opportunity to speak against the mandated EV proposal they are proposing which would require operators to transition to fully electric vehicles. Obviously, this won't work for our business with lack of infrastructure and limited distance a vehicle can travel on one charge. Please consider joining the call, you will have 3 minutes to speak. You can just listen as well. As of now, 99% of registered attendees are environmental activists that want all EVs on the road by 2040.

If you participate, just give examples of how this idea would greatly hinder our ability to operate over the road. Our industry needs to have a voice and this is the opportunity to refute the practicality of EV’s. Only hearing from one side would be the worst thing for us."
