Lafayette Res Run for Education

Lafayette Res Run for Education

“From acorn to oak tree, Lafayette is age friendly.”

Our community prioritizes creating indoor and outdoor spaces that respect and embrace residents of all ages and abilities, providing accessible, affordable, and fun activities for all generations to feel valued. This year's t-shirt was designed by Eden Hall and inspired by the City of Lafayette’s commitment to be age friendly.

T-Shirt Designer Spotlight:

Eden Hall is a sophomore at Princeton University and Vice President of All Ages Recreation Downtown (AARD), a nonprofit bringing free recreation to Downtown Lafayette while raising money for two new parks. She loved attending Lafayette schools and graduated Acalanes in 2024. Her childhood downtown was the driving force behind her decision to study Architecture and Urban Studies with the goal to create walkable, vibrant, accessible, and age-friendly cities. In her free time, she is an Army ROTC cadet and on Princeton's Belly Dancing Company.

Have your logo on 2200 t-shirts! You can find more information about becoming a t-shirt sponsor on the Chamber website here. Cost is $1000 and includes a vendor booth. We have four left!

A Big Thank You to Our Volunteers and Community Partners!!

We kicked off festival season with an incredible weekend of prep — and it wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing volunteers. From assembling and staging A-frames for detours, transporting water jugs, taking inventory, laminating, setting up event-only parking, hand-delivering letters to our downtown businesses with parking and load-in instructions (and more!) … your teamwork set the stage for success. We are truly grateful for your time, energy, and commitment to making Lafayette shine.

A huge shout-out to Alissa, Ally, Bill, Brody, Dan, Griselda, Jay, Matt, Mike, Mo, Reid, Scott, Terry, Todd, Tom, Travis, Wendy, Will, and Yolanda — plus our Chamber staff and ambassadors who joined in — for an incredible festival kickoff weekend! 🙌

Special thanks to Diablo Foods, Safeway, and JV Lucas Paving for supplies, to Mike for the delicious BBQ, and to Wendy for the homemade cookies that kept everyone fueled. 💪✨
