A Message from Solutions: Get Registration-Ready (and Halloween Treats!)

Don’t let registration for the spring semester be spooky! The Solutions team will help you make sure you are registration-ready:

🎃 Check for holds: Make sure outstanding holds or required tasks are addressed — especially being up to date on the payment plan or paid in full by October 30!

🎃 Review financial aid requirements: Check for outstanding financial aid documents or tasks that may need attention in My Sage Aid.

🎃 Connect with your advisor: Have you met with your academic advisor and received any necessary registration clearance?

🎃 Plan your courses: Review Student Planning and make sure you have course and section numbers added to your plan.

Navigating registration requirements can feel overwhelming, and a quick conversation with Solutions can go a long way! For support, email solutions@sage.edu, call 518-244-2020, or stop by Solutions in the library on either campus. (They have Halloween treats this week!)

TECH CHECK FROM IT: Don’t Let an Impostor Into the Cyber-Citadel

Not every visitor to the Cyber-Citadel is who they claim to be. Cybercriminals may pretend to be a coworker, professor, supervisor, senior leader, friend, or even someone from IT. They often create urgency and ask you to send information, transfer money, buy gift cards, share access, or click a link right now. Don’t let urgency make the decision for you.

🔎 Verify the messenger. Contact the person another way using a phone number, new message, or contact information you already trust.

⏳ Urgent? Slow down. Pressure to act quickly is a reason to be more cautious, not less.

🚩 Something feel off? Report it. Early reporting can help IT protect others who may have received the same message.

This Week’s Quest: The next time an unexpected request seems unusual or urgent, verify it through a second channel before acting.

Halt. Verify. Tell Someone: Don’t let an impostor sneak through the gates. Together, we can keep the Russell Sage Cyber-Citadel secure.
