- A Morning of Blessings for Our Furry (and Feathered) Friends
On Wednesday morning, October 14, Pastor Ed Brandt and Beth Miller shared blessings with our four-legged and feathered neighbors. On a beautiful morning (traffic aside!), fifteen dogs, two cats, and one bird received a blessing.
Some families stopped by for a drive-through blessing, while others paused on their early morning walks to join in. It was a joy to see so many pets and their people.
Thank you to everyone in our community who came out and made the morning so special. If you missed it or need anything at all, please let us know. We’re always glad to help.

- Congregation Care Team Gathers as Season Begins
Members of our Congregation Care team recently met with Pastor Ed Brandt to plan for the busy and joyful months ahead. The season is upon us, and we’re getting ready to welcome back all our friends from up north! The team discussed ways to reconnect with returning members, check in on those who may need extra support, and ensure everyone who walks through our doors feels at home.
To kick things off, please join us for a Welcome Back Brunch following our worship service on November 8th at 10:00 am when we’ll also honor the veterans in our congregation who have served our country. It’s a wonderful chance to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and say thank you to those who served. We can’t wait to see you there!
If you weren’t able to join us on Sunday, October 11, when acclaimed pianist Renan Gerstenberger provided special dedicatory music, [click here] to watch the service. The response to Renan’s incredible talent was wonderful—he truly is a gift from God—and we’re grateful to everyone who came out to support him!

- Celebrate Your Family News
United Church of Marco Island would love to celebrate the births, graduations, accomplishments, and other special milestones of your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren!
Please send your announcements to ucmarco@ucmarco.org so we can share in your family’s joy. If a new baby has joined your family, please let the church office know so we can place a flower on the Communion table in celebration.
