Greetings!
Kraken, Squid, Manatee and Breeze are four of 47 lucky dogs recently rescued by Humane World for Animals from properties suspected of dogfighting.
When responders arrived, they were met by scarred, injured, and severely underweight dogs—most tethered to heavy chains, with only makeshift shelters for protection.
Despite everything they endured, many greeted their rescuers with wagging tails.
Arriving at WCHS, still recovering from infected wounds, mange, and malnutrition, their tails continue wagging. They are full of energy and affection and are eager to continue their journey into the loving homes they deserve.
Thank you for believing every dog (cat, rabbit, creature) deserves to be loved and free of pain. Your kindness allows the WCHS team to help partner with other rescue organizations during these difficult situations.
Whether it is helping chained dogs used for fighting in South Carolina, or bred for hunting here in Vermont, we can only do it with your donations.
Please consider a donation today to help dogs like Kraken, Squid, Manatee, and Breeze.
