Dear HPN,
We are in the middle of Awards season and so we’re so glad you’re praying with us for the people, the projects and the issues in Hollywood today. The Golden Globes were last week and the Grammys are coming up on Feb. 5th, followed by the Critics Choice Awards, PGA Awards and many more, before ending with the OSCARS. Please keep praying for the awards and everyone involved, as you follow THIS SCHEDULE.
Here is a fun analogy for all of you who had crazy flying experiences over the holidays. It’s a silly way to start the new year..:
PREPARATION FOR OUR FLIGHT IN 2023:
We are prepared to take off into the New Year. Please make sure your Attitude and Blessings are secured and locked in an upright position. All self-destructive devices should be turned off at this time. All negativity, hurt and discouragement should be put away. Should we lose Altitude under pressure, during the flight, reach up and pull down a Prayer. Prayers will automatically be activated by Faith. Once your Faith is activated you can assist other passengers.
There will be NO BAGGAGE allowed on this flight. The Captain (GOD) has cleared us for takeoff. Destination GREATNESS. Book your flight!!!
I have already purchased my ticket!! I'M BUCKLED IN AND READY FOR TAKEOFF!!!!

HPN Community Groups
HPN is jumping into 2023 with 13 different Fellowship/Prayer groups of vocational Christians. So, if you are in a specific area of the industry and would like to be a part of a vocational community group, lead one or even start one, please email kelry@hpnemail. Here are the local fellowship groups, to-date that we are building in our industry: Actors, Animation, Comedy, Dancers, Editors, Fashion, Composers/Musicians, Producers, Technology, Video Games, VR and Worship Leaders. Don’t miss getting involved in a small group of like-minded professionals who will support you, pray for you and encourage you!

GOLDEN GLOBES WINNERS RESULTS:
We want to encourage you to take a look at this list of 28 Golden Globe winners from last week and choose at least one to pray for during this month. It could change their lives to have you pray blessings over them for even two weeks and we are excited to see how HPN can change the hearts and lives of industry professionals just through your committed prayers. Thank you for choosing one or as many of these people as you can and lifting them up to the Lord every day, with love, encouragement, faith and hope!

BRANDAN FRASER wins at the Critics Choice Awards
We want to praise God for everybody's favorite comeback story - Brendan Fraser! Brendan recently won Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards, and chose to use his speech as an opportunity to encourage others. Brendan, who identifies as Jewish, has recently returned to the spotlight after admitting to battling depression and fear in the past. We are so happy to see him being recognized for great acting, and for him using this return to the spotlight to build up those around him!

ARIEL QUINTANA Conducts Wakanda Forever
We want to praise God for the Choir Director of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, Ariel Quintana, who was the Choral Conductor on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and for his wife, Helene Alejandra Urigu Quintana, who was a featured singer in the film. We are so grateful for the great talent in our community and pray that Ariel, Helene, and the thousands of other creative HPN members, will continue to get favor in our city and soar as on wings of eagles!

LISA MARIE PRESLEY
Last week while watching the Golden Globes, we saw Lisa Marie Presley, singer and daughter of Elvis, in the audience, with her mother Priscilla, celebrating ELVIS, which won 3 Golden Globe awards! Austin Butler, who played Elvis in the film, honored the Presley family, saying how much they meant to him. And then suddenly two days later Lisa Marie died from cardiac arrest, at the age of 54! Let’s pray for her mother Priscilla and all the friends and fans of Elvis and their family, so that they will get comfort and strength from the Lord during this time of loss.

JEREMY RENNER
We ask for continue to ask for prayers for Jeremy Renner, who was in a terrible snowplow accident at his home over the holidays. Jeremy continues to recover at home after his torso and leg were crushed under a snowplow while he was trying to help a friend who was trapped in a vehicle. We ask you to pray for Hollywood professionals who may be recovering from various incidents because we believe they are more vulnerable during difficult times and thus, more open to the love, joy, peace and hope that only Jesus offers. So, thank you for joining us and lifting up Jeremy and all the amazing talent in Hollywood who don’t yet know God and yet can experience His touch and healing hand!

ADAM RICH
Pray for the family and friends of Adam Rich, a child actor from years ago who died at age 54. He struggled with mental illness his whole life and so we bring up his death to remind you that artists across the globe are extremely creative people and many of them struggle with mental and emotional instability. It seems to support the truth that our greatest strength is also our greatest weakness. As you pray for Adam’s family, would you pray for other amazingly talented artists, performers and all creatives who also struggle with depression, suicide and other mental illnesses.

The Passion of the Christ Sequel
Mel Gibson, Randall Wallace and Jim Caviezel are preparing to shoot The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection. Actor, director, producer Mel Gibson will begin production on the sequel of his mega-hit film, The Passion of the Christ, this spring, with creative partner/writer Randall Wallace. The cast will star Jim Caviezel who will reprise the role of Jesus. Let’s pray for the process and the impact of this film as we lift up the filmmakers and ask the Lord to speak through them in this powerful story.
