Dear Friends,

We are full of gratitude for the doors that God has opened, the discernment that he has led us through, and the friends he has sent to walk with us on this incredible journey in service to Christ and his Church.

As we have grown to serve thousands of engaged and mentor couples every year, coached hundreds of pastors, deacons and leadership teams to work with engaged and married couples, we have prayed for God to send us the ability to serve our Witness to Love team and our Witness to Love parishes in a deeper way. God has answered our prayers and has allowed us to hire one of the best men we know. Today, on the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, we are so excited to introduce David Dawson to you and to welcome him to our Witness to Love team as the Chief Operating Officer. God is so good!

David and his wife, Kate began to serve marriages while David was working at a parish in Lake Charles, Louisiana. In 2009, on an unexpected trip to Poland, they encountered a lay movement called “Domestic Church,” which they brought back to the U.S. and it is now serving over 550 couples across 15 dioceses! Since then, he has served as the Family Life Director in the Diocese of Lake Charles and Family Life Director for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. While there, David also served on the boards of both the Catholic Family Life Association (formerly NACFLM) and Witness to Love. In 2020, God led David to serve as the Director of the newly formed Office of Parish Support for the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux and oversee the growth and improvement of all pastoral ministries. After three grace-filled years, God revealed that he had new plans for how he was calling the Dawsons to serve. At the invitation of Ryan and Mary-Rose Verret, David and Kate discerned that God was calling him to work full-time with Witness to Love and join the Verrets in the

'awesome mission that had grown from a cool new marriage formation movement to an international marriage catechumenate." David and Kate have nine gorgeous children and currently reside in Thibodaux, LA.

In September we traveled to give our first Witness to Love trainings for the Archdiocese of Omaha and the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska. Daniela Mazzone flew in and gave a training in Spanish as well for the Diocese of Lincoln. Our long time board member Dr. Peter Martin, was able to attend and present with us at the Lincoln Training, sharing how Attachment Theory fits in with the Witness to Love model. We met so many amazing couples and clergy while we were there! It was our first trip to Nebraska and we are sure it will not be our last.

Earlier in October, we gave a date night talk based on our new book for the Diocese of Venice, Florida, and presented with WTL Pastor, Fr. Connor Penn, at a WTL info session for the Diocese of St. Petersburg. We were welcomed into the homes of WTL coordinators and mentor couples and were able to hear some incredible stories of how God is moving in the lives of so many couples who have been touched by the experience of Witness to Love. What a gift for us to receive their witness!

Next week Ryan & Mary Rose will be traveling to Ohio to give a couples retreat for Catholic Family Apostolate and Izabella Nagle will be traveling to Orlando to present at the Catholic Family Life Association Conference. Please keep us and our team in your prayers!
