Do You Know Any Guest Speakers?

Due to the positive reception for our guest speaker from the Virginia Cannabis Control Authority, we would like to try to obtain a list of potential presenters we could schedule in the future. If you know of any evidence-based, positively received speakers that our coalition could benefit from, please let me know via email!

Did you know that June is PTSD/Trauma Awareness Month?

Childhood trauma is one of the biggest risk factors for mental health and substance use development. Check out the links from the National Center for PTSD and ACT for Youth for information on how trauma/PTSD is developed, what PTSD looks like for young children and for teens, shocking statistics of childhood trauma in the USA, and how you can use a trauma-informed approach in the work you do for helping children.

VYWC Website in Progress!

We have been given a sneak peek into what our website content may look like. Check out the PDF linked below for examples of what you can likely expect on our official page. All coalition organizations will be given a shoutout and their personal website/contact information provided.
