A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT.
To our Dear Members,
As 2022 draws to a close, I want to share a few words with our membership about our amazing business community, the Chamber, our team, our Board, and our members.
The last year has presented many challenges and opportunities to say the least. I invite you to take pause to celebrate your many achievements and successes. It is always so easy to discredit ourselves and not acknowledge our everyday wins and victories. We see you and we congratulate you for the work that you have done this year for your business, for your employees, and for your community.
The Chamber has been supporting our business community since 1895 and today, in 2022, our main focus is to work towards meeting the needs and interests of our members through delivery of advocacy, education and resources, networking events and member benefits. Over the last year, we’ve seen ample return on the investments made through board training and committee formations to position our Chamber towards a very bright future, because of the hard work and dedication in solidifying key foundational pieces. Our Business Outreach Program has supported hundreds of businesses and responded to the needs of this community and in the last 3 years, our Chamber secured more than $400,000 in grant funds to infuse programming into Revelstoke. We have what it takes to create big positive impacts for the people who live here. We’ve heard you and are gearing up for some big and exciting changes in 2023.
To our Board of Directors: I would personally like to give a huge and heartfelt thank you to each one of you for volunteering your time and your talents to the Chamber. We truly have a group of strong community leaders who have stepped up to make sure that this organization is being guided in a meaningful and focused way.
To our team: Thank you! I would like to acknowledge the importance of our staff. Everybody knows this first hand- YOU understand the importance of having the right people in our businesses, store fronts, and as our points of contact. For the Chamber, this also extends to representing our 350+ members in work that is relevant, targeted, mindful and producing effective outcomes. Stacey was our driving force to making these incredible changes happen, coupled with our team who works incredibly hard to ensure that support is readily available for you, our Chamber is positioned for success.
To our membership: Thank you for your loyalty and support- your investment in our organization supports the work of our team to meet the needs of our business and non-profit community, and we need each and every one of you. Your membership has helped us to achieve our goals, which are all focused on supporting success for every one of our members. As we look ahead to 2023, we will continue to deliver high-quality service to our entire business community, following your lead and responding to your needs as identified by the membership. We also plan to emphasize our focus on advocacy and we invite you to reach out if there’s something within your industry that you feel could use our help.
Lastly, if we have delivered programming that has benefited your business in 2022, please consider renewing your membership for 2023 to help us continue this work. We'd like to thank those of you who continue to refer businesses to us for support, and for memberships! It is very heartening when we hear from our members that we are doing good work for you.
We are the sum of our parts. Our Chamber IS our members. Our success can be built only on yours.
I wish you the very best for this holiday season,
Sincerely,
|

COMMERCIAL RECYCLING AND FOOD WASTE COLLECTION SURVEY.
Businesses that have compostable waste, now is the opportune time to provide your feedback so that this program suits your needs. The CSRD and the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative will be better positioned to address your potential challenges and concerns in migrating to a new system if you share your thoughts with them.
Commercial entities are encouraged to fill out the LFI survey to assist in developing food diversion strategies unique to the challenges in Revelstoke.
Be sure to complete the section regarding commercial recycling. The findings are being shared with the Chamber so that we can effectively advocate for our members.
Special thanks to the LFI, a member of our Chamber that is doing important work for our community. Thank you for this partnership.

BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS.
The 29th Annual Business Excellence Awards were a huge success. To say that it was wonderful to be together again feels like an understatement! The spirit of celebration lit up the evening as we gathered to raise a toast to the outstanding community we share.
This event was a huge undertaking and would not have been possible with out the help of our thoughtful and generous volunteers, selection committee, partners, sponsors, businesses that donated silent auction items, our team and of course, those who took the time to nominate and those who joined us. Thank you ALL!
If you are missing your hat or eyewear from the night of the BEAs, we may have it. Please contact us.

GET REVY. HATS FOR YOUR STORE!
|
|
Let’s create some partnerships that can benefit all of us.
We’ve seen the appetite for our local retailers to carry this brand. It’s time to provide opportunities for businesses to benefit from offering this product. We’ve partnered with Revelstoke’s own Integrated Apparel to respond to the demand for the iconic REVY. brand.
|
|
|
|
|
The REVY. and REVELSTOKE. logos are the official brand for Tourism Revelstoke, adopted also by the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is the primary steward of retail product program expansion.
Join us in reaching our goal: to spread the brand throughout the community and beyond.
